Aiza Seguerra to Fellow DDS: Sana wag naman tayo maging blind followers

The Singer-Actress Aiza Seguerra expressed her sentiments against fellow Duterte’s supporter who became one sided from their opinion, and urged her fellow Duterte supporters to respect other people to their opinion.

As a Duterte supporter, I would encourage na sana wag naman tayo maging blind followers. It will help our president kung hindi tayo one sided at marunong tayong magbigay ng respeto sa opinion ng iba instead of fanning the flames of hatred towards people who don’t share the same point of view or opinion.
Read the whole article, not just headlines. Wag puro memes. Then you have to be fair. Nagrereklamo tayo na biased ang media. Eh Kayo? Yan ba yung pinagmamalaki ninyong pagbabago?

There’s always a way of protecting and defending our President na hindi kailangan manira at mambastos ng kapwa. We cannot be blind followers na bibirahin nalang lahat ng hindi sangayon sa atin.
As much as gusto natin na pare-pareho tayo ng opinion about certain matters, imposible yon. At kung mag-aaway tayo at mag babastusan at mag rereklamo ng walang katapusan at maninira dahil lamang iba tayo ng pananaw, then there can be no peace. He wants us to be united kahit magkakaiba tayo ng opinion, relihiyon, ideology at paniniwala. Digong needs our help. We all want our COUNTRY to succeed. If we want CHANGE; WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER.

President Aquino yesterday declared he is ready to defend the country’s democracy even at the cost of his life in the wake of a strong possibility that martial law will return under a Duterte-Marcos leadership. Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. are currently leading the presidential and vice-presidential surveys, respectively.

The President stressed his readiness to sacrifice his life for democracy one day after revealing plots by the militant Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) to assassinate him, and kidnap his sister Kris and boxing champion Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.

The President, in an administration campaign rally in Cebu province last Wednesday, has expressed resolve to fight any abuses in the next administration, after feeling uneasy with the survey surge of Duterte and Marcos.

Aquino has voiced opposition to the candidacies of Duterte and Marcos fearing their alleged dictatorial tendencies.
“If I see anyone who abuses power, I will take a stand against it but we’re not sure if I would still be here. Will they allow me to take action?,” Aquino said in his remarks in Filipino.

“I believe if they think I will oppose them, I may be the first to vanish?” he added.

Aquino, however, said he was not afraid to die after having fully served the country.  He admitted that his opponents may even take advantage of his minimal security detail when he steps down from office.

“Some people may already be plotting against me. If they succeed, that’s fine with me. I think I have contributed enough to improve the plight of our nation,” said Aquino who will end his six-year term on June 30.

The President visited Cebu last Wednesday to rally support for Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas and his running mate Leni Robredo in the final stretch of the campaign season. He did not mention the names of Duterte and Marcos in his latest campaign speech but alluded to the frontrunners in the presidential and vice presidential surveys.

President Duterte will Remove Age Limits to all Job Seekers

Removal of Age Limit Requirements to all job seekers is going to happen under Duterte’s administration according to some experts.

NO AGE LIMIT!!..Senator Pia Cayetano one of the advisers of President Rodrigo Duterte said she filed Senate Bill No. 29 or the Anti-Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 2013 to put an end to what she considered an emerging type of discrimination in the labor front.

The bill is still pending and they are hoping that the Duterte’s administration is going to push it immediately. The bill prohibit and penelize employers who will decline any application because of the job seeker’s age.

According to the OFWs who decided to go back to the country and look for jobs here in the Philippines have experienced this age discrimination practice by local employers. This is despite the fact they have gained long years of experience in working abroad.
Many Filipinos believe that the Age Limit Requirements is the number one cause of unemployment in the Philippines.
“Because of our age, we cannot get a job in the Philippines so our only solution to get a job is to work overseas where there is no age discrimination.”
Supporters of Rody Duterte are hoping that the age discrimination is going to implement under Duterte’s administration.

EPSON Japan Biggest Manufacturing Plant to Rise in the Philippines

A Japanese electronic firm "EPSON Precision Company" announced last December 2014 it would invest 4.7 billion to build this year, its biggest manufacturing plant in Batangas to increase inkjet printer and 3LCD projector production volumes.

EPSON Philippines President and country manager Toshimitsu Tanaka said the new state-of-the-art-facilities which begins construction this year are being erected on the existing site on Lipa City, Batangas, expects to start opening by 2017 and it would increase actual capacity to 1.2 million units of projectors and printers.

"I think Philippines has one of the most competitive labor cost in the region," EPSON Philippines Country Manager Toshimitsu Tanaka told reporters in an interview last week.

Tanaka said that the labor force in China is now becoming saturated and more expensive, adding that the same is also true in Indonesia, which hosts the company's largest plant with 10,000 employees manufacturing inkjets and projectors.

"Based on the current situation, we have no plans to expand the China factory because of labor costs. China's labor force, very very high by almost 20 percent (compared to the Philippines)," Tanaka said, The Philippine labor cost is stable so we can predict salary."

The new EPSON electronics plant once completed will employ around 20,000 workers, which will increase production of inkjet printers and 3LCD projectors for the local market and for export to US, Japan, and China a company executive said Thursday.

EPSON will also install a solar power generation system with a capacity of 3,000 kwh on the roof of the new plant. The solar system will reduce overall daytime electricity consumption at EPSON Precision Philippines by half.

Tanaka said the company decided to expand company plant in the Philippines because it had a cheaper labor cost compared to China and Indonesia, where the company also has manufacturing plants. -- Carl E.

NO CABINET POSITION FOR LP VICE-PRESIDENT LENI ROBREDO

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte finally revealed the reason he had not offered any Cabinet position to Vice President-elect Leni Robredo: he does not want to hurt the feelings of defeated VP candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
In a press conference Tuesday night, May 31, in Davao City, Duterte said: "Non-committal ako diyan (I am non-committal). You know why? I don't want to hurt the feelings of Bongbong Marcos. He is my friend. That is the political reality.”
The President-elect added: "Reconciliation need not come from an appointment [for Robredo]. There is no compelling reason for me to accommodate the VP. I am sorry. Leni must understand that she belongs to the opposite side [of the political fence]."
But later on during the press conference, asked again about the chance of a Cabinet position for Robredo, Duterte said, "Baka. She will be appointed, baka." (Maybe she will be appointed, maybe.)
Marcos lost to Robredo in the official canvass by only 263,473 votes.

Duterte elaborated on his reasons for not considering Robredo for a Cabinet post:
  • Duterte's father served under the senator's father, President Ferdinand Marcos:"Do you know my father [was] a Cabinet member of Marcos [senior]?"
  • Duterte won the presidential election in Marcos' home region of Ilocos, but fared poorly in Robredo's vote-rich home region of Bicol: "I won in Ilocos. Guess where I failed miserably? Bicol...I was only number 3 or number 4."

Although not mandatory, presidents have appointed their vice presidents to Cabinet positions:
  • Corazon Aquino gave the foreign affairs portfolio to Salvador Laurel
  • Fidel Ramos created an anti-crime commission for Joseph Estrada to head.
  • Estrada named Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as social welfare secretary
  • Arroyo appointed Noli de Castro as housing czar
  • Benigno Aquino III appointed Jejomar Binay as head of the housing agency and presidential adviser on overseas Filipino workers' affairs.

When unofficial results showed that Robredo was leading the vice presidential race, Duterte's campaign spokesman Peter La Viña said his principal would be reserving the Cabinet positions that "she" preferred, referring to the prospective vice president in a feminine pronoun.
When the official canvassing of votes showed, however, that Robredo was indeed going to be the vice president-elect, Duterte himself had become mum on his plans for Robredo.
Robredo, for her part, has planned but not made any final schedule to pay Duterte a courtesy call in Davao City. She said she understood that he was busy entertaining those who were lining up to see him, but that she wanted to assure the President-elect of her "100% support."
The Vice President-elect has also said she understands that Duterte would want the Cabinet positions to go to people he trusts.
In an interview with reporters in Bataan on Tuesday, Robredo talked about her plans should Duterte not assign her an agency to head.
She said she would maximize her 6 years as vice president by embarking on programs that would let her work directly with sectors. She is also looking at raising funds for the sectoral projects.
Asked if he would instead appoint Marcos Jr after the one-year ban for defeated candidates, Duterte said, "He hasn't asked.”
During the campaign, Marcos said that if he would become vice president and be asked to choose a Cabinet post, he preferred the labor portfolio.
Duterte on Tuesday night held his first meeting with his Cabinet appointees. He alsoannounced a fresh batch of nominees
