President-elect Rodrigo Duterte is currently being rumored to appoint actress/talent manager Annabelle Rama as chairman of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
However, in an article published by Bandera, the 63-year-old Rama is said to be not interested if ever Duterte offers her the post.
Annabelle Rama will replace Atty. Toto Villareal in case she accept Duterte’s reported offer to her as MTRCB chairman.
Rumors surfaced online that Annabelle Rama and the upcoming president recently met to discuss the latter’s alleged appointment on the post.
Rama met Duterte last Wednesday, June 1, 2016 along with veteran singer Pilita Corales.
Meanwhile, in a press interview of Annabelle Rama’s daughter Ruffa Gutierrez, her mom said that she doesn’t want to become MTRCB chairman.
“I don’t know if it’s true. But sabi lang ni Mommy na, if ever, hindi siya interesado because she don’t wanna stay in a room watching movies all day and all night,” she said.
“And feeling daw niya, marami daw siyang producers na makakaaway, e, lahat friends niya, di ba? So I don’t think she’s interested and I don’t think it was even offered to her,” she added.
Annabelle Rama is married to former matinee idol Eddie Gutierrez. The Cebu-based couple have six children who are popular actors and actresses including Rocky, Elvis, Ritchie Paul, Raymond, Richard and Ruffa.
